Национальное управление по аэронавтике и исследованию космического пространства (NASA) США отложило на неопределенный срок запуск спутника ICON, предназначенного для изучения ионосферы Земли. Такой шаг обусловлен необходимостью продления предполетных испытаний ракеты-носителя Pegasus, сообщило во вторник NASA.
Старт носителя со спутником с космодрома на мысе Канаверал (штат Флорида) планировалось произвести 26 октября. Разработчиком ракеты Pegasus XL является корпорация Northrop Grumman.
"NASA и Northrop Grumman отложили запуск исследователя ионосферы ICON для того, чтобы провести дополнительные достартовые испытания ракеты. После завершения этих испытаний будет определена новая дата пуска", - уточнило космическое ведомство США.

ВАШИНГТОН, 31 окт — РИА Новости. Старт грузового корабля Dragon компании SpaceX к Международной космической станции (МКС) запланирован на 4 декабря, до этого в ноябре на орбиту отправится частный грузовик Cygnus, сообщили в НАСА в среду.
Запуск Dragon на ракете-носителе Flacon 9 состоится с космодрома на мысе Канаверал во Флориде. Ранее американское космическое ведомство сообщало, что ориентировочно 15 ноября к МКС на ракете-носителе Antares отправится принадлежащий компании Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems грузовой корабль Cygnus.

            Военно-воздушные силы США и SpaceX теперь планируют первый запуск сверхтяжёлой ракеты SpaceX Falcon Heavy, финансируемый правительством, на начало 2019 года.
            Об этом сообщила неправительственная организация The Planetary Society, чей космический аппарат LightSail 2 планировалось отправить в космос на борту Falcon Heavy.
            Первоначально предполагалось запустить сверхтяжёлую ракету SpaceX 30 ноября, но, как сообщили в ВВС США организации The Planetary Society, запуск было решено перенести. Он произойдёт в начале 2019 года, хотя точная дата пока не была определена. Также не были названы причины отсрочки.
            Ранее SpaceX подтвердила готовность Falcon Heavy к запуску, для чего 12 июня было открыто 60-дневное окно. Следовательно, вина за перенос сроков запуска ракеты лежит не на SpaceX, а на ВВС США. Вполне возможно, что партнёры ВВС США не смогли доставить в срок груз, который планируется оправить в космос на борту Falcon Heavy.
            Также допускается, что SpaceX просчиталась со сроками перехода Falcon Heavy с более старых версий Falcon 9 Block 2 и 3 на Falcon 9 Block 5.
            Кроме того, слухи утверждают, что более реальным следует считать запуск Falcon Heavy в марте, а не в самом начале 2019 года.

ВАШИНГТОН, 1 декабря. /Корр. ТАСС Дмитрий Кирсанов/. Частная компания Astrobotic скорректировала планы отправки первого посадочного модуля собственного производства на Луну. Об этом сообщил корреспонденту ТАСС в пятницу ее руководитель Джон Торнтон.
"Мы в настоящее время нацеливаемся на первый квартал 2021 года в плане [реализации] нашей первой миссии", - сказал президент фирмы, которая базируется в Питтсбурге (штат Пенсильвания). Ранее предполагалось, что Astrobotic отправит свой первый посадочный модуль на естественный спутник Земли в первом квартале 2020 года.

Москва. 4 декабря. INTERFAX.RU - Национальное управление США по аэронавтике и исследованию космического пространства (НАСА) перенесло на сутки, планировавшийся во вторник, запуск грузового космического корабля "Дрэгон" (Dragon) к Международной космической станции.
По сообщению НАСА, на пищевых батончиках, которые предназначены для проведения опытов над грызунами, была обнаружена плесень. "Командам потребуется дополнительный день для замены батончиков",- пояснило НАСА.
Запуск ракеты перенесен на 5 декабря на 13:16 по североамериканскому восточному времени (21:16 мск).
Ракета-носитель Falcon 9 американской компании SpaceX должна отправить грузовой космический корабль "Дрэгон" (Dragon) с 2,5 тонны груза на Международную космическую станцию (МКС).
Старт планируется произвести с 40-го пускового комплекса на космодроме НАСА на мысе Канаверал в штате Флорида...

Ракета-носитель Delta IV выведет на орбиту очередной американский разведывательный спутник
       Вашингтон. 7 декабря. ИНТЕРФАКС-АВН - Ракета-носитель Delta IV в субботу, как ожидается, выведет на орбиту очередной спутник в интересах Национального управления военно-космической разведки США, сообщает компания United Launch Alliance.
       Старт ракеты будет осуществлен компанией с авиабазы ВВС США Ванденберг в Калифорнии.
       United Launch Alliance является совместным предприятием корпораций "Боинг" и "Локхид Мартин", которое осуществляет запуски в интересах американского разведывательного сообщества.
       Сведения о секретном спутнике официально не раскрываются. Однако, по имеющимся данным, на эллиптическую полярную орбиту будет выведен очередной разведывательный спутник KH-11 Key Hole ("Замочная скважина") с оптико-электронной аппаратурой. Основная задача спутника заключается в передаче разведывательному сообществу США в реальном режиме времени изображений с ультравысоким разрешением.
       Теоретическая разрешающая способность аппаратуры спутника KH-11 составляет приблизительно 15 см. Его главное зеркало имеет диаметр 2,4 метра - такое же, как на американском космическом телескопе "Хаббл", который в свое время был создан компанией "Локхид Мартин" на основе разведывательного спутника KH-11. По размерам он также напоминает "Хаббл" и имеет длину 19,5 метра, диаметр - около 3 метров.
       На данный момент в составе американской орбитальной группировки уже имеются четыре спутника типа KH-11.
